At a distance of 140 kms South-West of Bhavnagar and 153 nautical miles North-West of Mumbai, Pipavav Terminal is located in the Saurashta region of Gujarat. Port Pipavav is managed and operated by APM Terminals (A.P. Moller-Maersk Group) which is one of the largest container terminal operators in the world. The port experiences annual traffic of 3.5 MMT per annum. Its existing liquid jetty offers draft size of 11.5m and LOA is 220m. The port also plans to develop two more liquid jetty.
This terminal can handle full spectrum of petroleum products – both classified and non-classified – such as Naphtha, Crude Oil, Gasoil, MTBE, Condensate, Fuel Oil, Jet Fuel, Kerosene, Base Oil, Veg Oil and Bitumen as well as Petrochemicals.
Terminal has a total of 46 tanks with capacities ranging from 2000 to 10,000 cbm adding to a total of 250,000 cbm, with separate pipelines to the berth for white and black products.
This terminal will have total 24 tank truck loading gantry and 2 weigh bridges, rail wagon loading and unloading, provision for blending and inter tank transfer. The terminal has complete flexibility for any type of oil product for third party storage.
